I'm gunna jump right it with everyone else and tell you Live really is pretty great. If you have an Xbox and broadband, you owe it to yourself to at least give it a trial.

Boils down to money. If I go with the PS2 version all I drop is $40 for the game. If I go with the XBox version $40 for the game and $50 for Live.

Was that a troll? It's disingenuous at best, as you don't have to pay for a yearly subscription if all you want to do is play ESPN Baseball for a few months...you can subscribe monthly for $5.99 a month if you want. To top it off, it's not like you can't play any other games on Live. I have at least 8 Live-enabled games that I can think of, and all of them are damn fun to play online. Not to mention that most of us who want to play Baeball 2k4 online already have a Live subscription - so you could argue that we're actually adding value to our already-paid subscription.
