"My experience was exactly the opposite. High school sucked ***, but college was awesome. It's like you get a clean slate: there's new people, it's not so clique-ish, not as immature, and you can party your *** off without worrying about getting busted or your friends having curfews"

I completely agree. High school for me was just kinda there. Well, actually senior year was memorable because for the most part, it was a blow off year. Especially the second half of the year. But college was above and beyond the best four years of my school life. I say school life because I can't imagine not having my children in my life. Back to the discussion at hand. After college, you're expected to have all this responsibility. That's not a lot of fun. You learn there's not a lot of job security which is a bummer. Anyways, enjoy being young. Congratulations on getting your driver's license. I remember failing it the first time. The driving part that is.....that was a long drive home.

I think the reason that the college years are the best for most people is because:
      1. You now have the freedom and independance that you did not have in high school.
      2. You still don't have to worry about the responsibilities that you will have to once you settle down, get out of college, join the rat-race-, etc

YMMV though. I loved my college years, even though i settled down and got married and always worked full time while going through my edumacation.

Sportgamer make me feel old as heck. I got my licenses in 1979 when Prince had his first hit and Journey was number one on the Rock charts. I took my test in Atlanta, Ga. in my dad's 1978 Thunderbird. Good luck and be safe in that car. Dang, kids get their own cars when they get license these days. I didn't own my own car until I finish Army Basic Training in 1982. By the way High School was great for me. I didn't go to college until I was in my early thirtys but I wish I would have gone to college as a Teen.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't go to whatever college you went to. Don't listen to him, Sportsgamer. Choose you college wisely and it most certainly does not blow. I've never heard of anyone hating college (except maybe community college or really small schools).
