Should i sell ASB to get ESPN?

I have this years MVP and ASB. I like both of them a lot. I like the majority of the things in MVP, so i will never sell that. ASB is cool...I love that it has the most stadiums out of all the baseball games...it has weather options...it's realistic baseball pace...en espanol telecasting option...BTP cam is great...I even like the fielder cam believe it or not. Oh...and custom soundtracks for players rock...not to mention roster updates that can be used for online play!

The thing that i don't like about ASB is that its zone hitting is flawed, and 3d cursor is the next bext hitting option. 3d cursor is cool, but i much rather prefer a high heat or MVP style of hitting. ASB's animations suck, as well as the homerun celebrations...also...fielders tend to tag baserunners late even though the throws were in time...and baserunning controls often end up in advancing every runner on base, instead of just the one runner you want to advance. I get too many hits, even on the hardest difficulty as well. But basically, i bought ASB for online play only. I'm waitng for the roster update so I can play with Kaz on the Mets.

But, i'd be willing to get rid of ASB if ESPN offered a better quality game, with great online play and a high fun factor. Also, one thing that i'm missing with both MVP and ASB are those nifty double plays, that MLB 2005 has ( i haven't played this game...any one have input on this game?).
    Does ESPN's double plays rock?

I had WSB2K3, it was cool...I enjoy MVP more however...but like I asked..would you sell ASB to get ESPN? Or should i keep ASB and MVP and just buy ESPN as well??

You are really the only one that can answer that question. For every person who likes ESPN, there will be one who likes game 'x' more.

I would suggest waiting for more impressions and/or renting the game and see whether you enjoy it enough to justify returning ASB for it.

    Good luck.

Obviously, this is just ME, but I'm returning ASB and I already sold MVP. Last year's ESPN Baseball game was the best, in my opinion, so I played the other two just to hold me over until this year's version was released. As long as the game isn't worse than it was last year, I'll be happy. ASB and MVP just didn't do it for me.

I am putting MVB and ASB on EBay tonight. They are both good games, but I played espn over lunch, and it is what I want. The whole thing feels better to me than the other two.

The only things I didn't like are the swing animations and sometimes the default outfielder who is supposed to get the ball in the gaps. I will get use to that though.

I have been a sports gamer for years. I've become somewhat a collector of all sports games. All of this years baseball games play differently and they have their own pluses and minuses. I have only traded, or returned a game when it was just unplayable. But, right now I have all three of the baseball games, and I will get ESPN soon. I will keep them all. If this is an econmic decision for you, then your choice is more difficult. But if you can, try to enjoy each game for its unique qualities. If you like it, keep it and enjoy the next game that comes out. We don't have to own just one baseball game, do we?

IMO, yes I would. I like ESPN much better than ASB, but that's just my opinion.
