Why you guys start listening to OS, IGN anyways

To be honest I havent read the OS review, and the only reason I read the IGN review is to see if they still suck at reviewing games. Like in the IGN review they tried to compare ESPN with WSB2k3...if you really do that then you cant not see that ESPN is better this year. And they gave WSB2k3 a great score last year...So if the game is even better this year, why did it get dogged..Thats where the idea, of getting paid off comes into play... Now my thing is this, you guys shouldnt be mad at IGN, or OS for getting paid off. Im not saying they are(Im pretty sure IGN is) but you guys need to stop putting to much faith into what they say.. You gotta take the reviews with a grain of salt. The best way to review a game is to play it yourself. And if you dont wanna waste your money on renting, then read ALL the reviews and compare video and screen shots. Also check out features list, this should help you. But dont go off of one or two reviewers. For a couple of years EA went arcadey with their games, thus allowing them to get a bigger following from guys that couldnt handle SIMS. I believe that these reviewers are the target audience EA was going for. I stop playing EA at this time cuz I hate arcadey sports games. You can pin point it at Triple Play 2000, when they had Sammy on the cover.

But the point of this thread is DONT GO OFF WHAT NOOBS PUT IN THEIR REVIEWS..

if anyone lets a review from ign etc. have an impact on what game there gonna buy then there just about stupid!! i'll never let an article point me in a direction to spend my 50 bucks on a game!!

have espn baseball and asb 2005 and like each just the same!! they both have there plus's and minus's but when it comes down to it remember its just a video game!!

Now dont get me wrong..I not getting on them cuz I think ESPN is flawess, cuz its not. I can name a FEW MINOR flaws..But these guys really hyped up MVP, and kids went out and bought it cuz of the hype THEY created. If EA aint paying them, then they should. I would expect a check If I was them...lol..and Im being serious. The reviews didnt come off fair at all, and as journalist they should know better.

what do you consider fair? that a review agrees with what you think of the game? or that the mob mentality deems it so? for the billionth time, for every one person who disagrees with a review, or calls it unfiar, you have another saying the review is fine.

for every MINOR flaw or glitch you find in the game you enjoy, you can see from all the posts in this forum that for some it will be game-killers; and vice-versa. People are claiming ESPn to be the king this year, and that's fine. I am actually happy that one of the 4 major titles this year made them enjoy gaming, but you people consistently get hung up over how another person, in this case a reviewer, reacted when playing a game, then grill them for not meeting your expectations. It's also amazing how some people just cant move on. I mean you are talking about MVP on an ESPN forum for crying out loud

this is getting real stupid. Please, just cry me a river. I am locking this and going to go work.
