I think the crowd is the worst part of the game. Which when you get right down to it, isn't THAT bad of a thing. I mean, it's a great game if the worst thing I can think of is the sound in my book. Yes, the player models still aren't the best, and the faces on some players are enough to scare small (and not so small) children. But it's still a lot of fun to play, and I like the realistic results I get with it.
I should say, also, that I don't have a problem with the crowd "buzz" that is there all of the time. That is fine, and yes it does help to set your crowd noise higher to hear more of that. What I'm talking about is the lack of play specific reactions, and the shortness of them when they do react. For instance, on home runs in your home stadium. The do roar, when the ball goes out. But then they stop after about 3 or 4 seconds, and go back to the regular buzz. And then the curtain call issue, as well. Plus it seems like they react more for catching a fly ball then they do for turning a double play. But again, if that's the worst thing I can think of, then it must be pretty good in my book.

I remember last year it seemed like the only time they'd get excited is if I attempted 2 pickoffs in a row. Then I'd strike a guy out and you could hear crickets chirp.
