I play on legend with tweaked sliders.

    Human power-45
    Baserunning speed-49

+1 to all errors and +1 to injuries

    CPU contact-52 (more foul balls)
    CPU Power and Skill-50
    Take Strike overall-57
    Take Strike Ahead-55
    Take Srike Behind-52
    Take Ball Ahead-52
    Take ball behind-50

    CPU Piching
    Corners-75
    Change Speed and Location-75
    Throw Strike Ahead-45
    Everything else default

I get great games with these.

wow. Those are very similar to the sliders that I'm using. I agree. I'm having great games with these! You see a little bit of everything.....Walks, SB's, HR's, extra base hits, K's, HR's etc.

I've only played on default all star. Hitting has given me very realistic results but the CPU gets crazy hits against me. I'm gonna drop down to pro to see what I get. I like to get a feel for my mistakes before messing with sliders too much but so far that's where I'm at. I may not be managing my pitchers well or something.

Re: What level are you guys playing at?

You sure do get good games. It's basically a bit of Legend level CPU Pitching sliders and whatever tweaked settings make me feel comfortable. I sometimes hit a little too easy but when I lower my power to 44 it seriously deflates my power and I actually get MORE hits because many deep fly balls become bloop singles.

During my next game I may decide to bump up CPU hitting skill.

I may be being fussy but at the same time I'm using the Yankees and that alone can be why I'm hitting pretty good, not to mention I have Jose Vidro at second base so now I have an All-Star at every position. This isn't MY fault though, one of my goals from the owner was to acquire a player with an overall rating of 90 or better, and wrapping Karsay up in that deal killed two birds with one stone because he had to go also.

Owner goals rule! They really add to the franchise, like when you have a late season series and a message pops up saying "You better win this one." I made sure when starting my Yankee franchise that I had a Dictator owner wh'os focus was Win. Although after I read the online manual at espn.com today, maybe he should be a Fan, who knows. Anyone notice that at some point you can BUY a team? I wonder what that does...

Re: What level are you guys playing at?

I think people with pitching problems may be doing what I was doing when I first got the game and getting my head handed to me. I tried to get everything in the strike zone and I was afraid to use the power meter.

Now I waste pitches like throw a fastball way outside because I plan on going inside with a curve later, I used to just go straight to the definite strike i was gonna throw but now I mess around.

The fastball with a full power meter can be effective too, I've blown it right by some cpu hitters. Check your pitchers ratings before the game and use the power meter for their most effective pitches when you need that last strike.

And don't use the power meter for changeups, it has no effect. And don't throw pitches with a partial power meter, they tend to get crushed, it's all or nothing. Tap the pitch button so you don't fill in any of the meter and just throw a normal pitch.

I forgot to mention in my slider posting that I have pitch variabilty at 62 for less acuurate pitching, and fatigue rate at 47, I felt my pitchers were getting too tired, too fast.
