I'm playing on the games default settings and am really struggling with hitting (true-aim 1 button swing system). I'm averaging about 5 hits a game and havn't homered yet. I know that I can adjust sliders but I'm normally very good at hitting in baseball games and typically have to make it harder not easier. Anyone have any tips on hitting with the true-aim system to get good results. Thanks. By the way, after playing all three baseball games this year, ESPN is definitely the best (even though I suck at hitting).

Well, I'm no expert, but I am getting my share of hits. What I do is never swing at the first pitch. Just sit there and watch it. Do the same thing until he throws you a strike.
When the CPU does throw strike, then put your thumb on the stick and pick one of your hotzones and be ready to cheat in that direction on the next pitch. If you see the ball head into that zone, knock it. If it goes anywhere else, take it. If it ends up being a ball, repeat.
If it's a strike, then you've got two strikes. Now you need to be ready to go in any direction on the next pitch. If it's in the zone, obviously swing. If it's close, you can take it and maybe get a walk. Using this method you end up making the CPU throw a lot of pitches. -

Try going to the low wide batting view. I just moved up to legend and was using the zoom view and it was just too dang fast for my 42 year-old reactions. Went to the wide view and it gives you a little bit longer to react.Comment
