Are your human controlled player's numbers coming out realistically?
Especially homeruns, batting average etc. I've only been playing exhibition games so far on Legend level and I'm seeing some things that worry me as far as weak hitters hitting a few too many homeruns and pitchers seem to hit far too well also. What are you seeing so far? ThanksTags: None -

Are your real life power hitters hitting significantly more homers than your weak real life hitters?Comment

Re: Are your human controlled player\'s numbers coming out realistically?
Without a doubt. Barry Bonds is a monster who has tormented me. Sammy Sosa, Vlad Guerrero, Troy Glaus are others I can think of off the top of my head. This game doesn't treat all hitters the same. But it allows for the possiblity that fat pitches over the plate will be hammered by anyone, even pitchers. If you read the online game manual, VC specifically mentions you've got try and get the hitters to swing at balls. Don't try to throw everything in the strike zone. You may get away with it often, but every once in a while a hitter will get a hold of one. Also, if pitch variability is high, then a lot of pitches thrown for strikes will remain in the strike zone, but they will be grooved down the middle, allowing for further hacks. So, you may think you've thrown one on the outside ocrner, when in fact it was grooved down the middle. You need to check the hitter when he comes to bat again to see where your previous pitch location was.Comment

Re: Are your human controlled player\'s numbers coming out realistically?
I'm 20 or so games deep in my season with the Yanks and everyone has realistic numbers except A-rod. In fact, A-Rods numbers are absurd. I'm batting something like .486, I lead the league in hits with 50, I lead the league in homers with 16, and I lead the league in RBIs.
Sheff and Giambi are not doing anywhere near as good as A-Rod.Comment
