    ESPN Bottom Line

So do you guys play with the bottom line "Idle", "On" or "Off"?

I've been using idle, but it almost never shows. The only time I've seen it showup is when I select a pitch and then press B to back out of that pitch.

I was thinking about turning it on since it seems to have a good bit of information, but I also didn't want it to become a distraction.

I leave it on idle. If you pause the game for a couple seconds, it comes on.

It's a well-done feature, but one option I'd like to see for next year's game is for their to be a fourth setting, where the Bottom Line comes up maybe once or twice per game (3rd inning and 8th inning?) and runs through all the way. I find it distracting if it's always there, but I also don't want to stop playing for a full 2 minutes in order to see it run through once, so that would be a good setting to have (plus, that's how they really do it on ESPN too, pretty much).

I agree about another option...like hitting a certain button and it will run until that button is pressed again. I love the ticker in ESPN...it's got good info and really adds a little something to the pennant chase. Also gotta love when it announces trades!!
ASB2005 has done the timing of thier ticker very nicely. It comes on about twice a game automatically...and will come on if you pause the game. Works good, but does not have as much info as ESPN's. Either way...I have been asking for this feature for years(for HH really) and am just glad to see it if finally introduced. Now if we could just get ESPN to put in working scoreboards next year!

Normally I turn the ticker on twice a game, one in the early part of my game and once towards the later part. Lately, I have been getting lazy and just leaving the ticker on the whole game. I do agree with the press a button to see the ticker and press the same button again to turn it off.

I think it should be automatic, since there is an internal clock on both xbox and ps2, it should come on every 20 minutes and 40 minutes after the hour, just like real life, but they stay on one game too much, they need to speed it up a little.
