    baserunning problem/question!

i have one problem when i try to advance my guys. if i have runners on and i get a base hit i cant seem to advance my runners quick enough. i try pressing the left trigger (xbox) and holding it cuz the book says it advances all runners. but the guys stop at the base rather than rounding and keep going. i try using the left thumbstick and x but sometimes i guess i press it at the wrong time or soemthing cuz again they stop right after the base. the ball would be at the wall still and they do that. is there a method to baserunning that i am not aware of? can someone help me out? thanks!

you can try just hammering on the left trigger. Just rapid fire as runners appriach the bases, or

my best suggestion is start using the X button with the directional stick. It's much better, and you have much more control.

I'm really good at it. Maybe because I loved MVP2003, and I have MVP2004 as well as ESPN, and I'm used to controlling all the runners independantly. But, I have the best luck like that. X alone is advance all to I believe. Just try hammering on that too.

I have the same issue. I believe you have to wait until the runner reaches first base then you can push up and x to send him to second base. I have lost a couple of games because I was "preloading" the base advance. I like the way MVP has handled baserunning. Espn should try letting you preload or queue the advance.

Do you have auto round on? That works best for me. I still have occasions where they don't go, but 9 times out of ten they do.

i have auto baserunning on. thats a nice help to have. however, my troubles are when i have a couple guys on and i get a double in the gap. using the X-directional when two guys are at their respectable base doesnt work cuz i end up only sending one guy to the next base. and once i get the other guy to move he has already stopped right pass the base. instead of both guys scoring i end up with a man on second (batter who hit the double) and third (the f*ckface who should have kept running). other than this, i f*ckin love this game. i always hated baseball games cuz the seasons are too long to play out and the games get repitative after a while. but with this one, i puff on an el a little bit and play ball. something new every single game. beautiful. someone help me out with the baserunning PLEASE!

                            thanks
