2 quick questions about game

Maybe it was in the impressions thread, but I read through the whole thing and didn't see it:

1) Is there an option, when batting, to use a "timed swing" ala the nintendo days? I'd prefer just 1 swing button for batting. No up/down/left/right swing, no cursor, and no power/contact swing.

2) Is there a create a player feature?
