I am just curious, what is the average walks one should get and five up in an MLB game. I usually give up 1 to 2 walks a game and get 3 to 4 myself. I am wondering if I should adjust the sliders so I have less control and thus give up more walks.

Re: Walks
Yeah i was averaging the same amount of walks until i increased the pitcher variability to 75 and turned off the pitching cursor and the strike zone. Now i'm walking about 4 or 5 batter every game.NFL: NY Giants NHL: NY Rangers MLB: NY Mets NBA: NY Knicks -

I read this on another site, but wasn't sure if it was true and haven't tested it. I heard that raising pitcher variability makes the pitcher wilder in the strike zone, not outside of it. I haven't bumped it up higher for this exact reason. I don't mind being wilder outside of the zone, since I aim at corners anyway, but I don't want to aim for the outside corner and have it go right over the plate (once or twice is fine, but not a lot).
I've had the pitching aids and vibration off (definately helps at first), but lately I've got a good feel as to how far to push the stick with each pitcher. So I'm back to hitting the corners 9 times out of 10 and walking very few.
3.5 walks/game is about average. The best team in MLB in terms of walks averages 2.5 walks per game (Philadelphia). The worst averages 4.6 walks/game (Arizona).Comment

Wow I 'm suprized I figured the Royals staring pitching staff would have the most walks per 9 innings. Thanks for the response.

Would you believe the Royals are right about average? They've issued 84 walks this year. So that would be:
3.6/game
0.4/IP
