To solve your fielding view problem all you have to do is set the carmera at low-wide and then make sure the lock on to po-fly is turned off.That should do it.

speaking in terms of physics the shadow is smaller when the ball is higher right? and baseball's are pretty small right? so the size of the shadow you see is the size it'd be at the last second in real life and any time before that you really wouldn't see a shadow in real life. i don't see how this is LESS realistic. what kind of shadow are you looking for?Comment

In real life the easiest play to make in baseball is on a fly ball. Its not often that you see someone miss a fly ball, and that is usually because of the sun or in certain stadiums like in Minnesota. It shouldn't be hard to catch a fly ball in this game because its not hard in real life.Comment

guys calm down...i shoulda just kept my mouth shut w/ the shadow thing....
in terms of the camera thing for fielding though (too zoomed in)...
can some1 pls tell me how swithcing batting cam to wide/low affects fielding cam???? b/c in my game it doesnt.Comment

It doesn't effect the fielding cam, there is only one cam for fielding and I agree it is to low and zoomed in. In the early going it actually cost me some games on miss played balls but I've since gotten used to it.....I still don't like it though.Comment
