This is the best baseball game I've ever played, I can't put it down. It took me a little while to get used to some of the changes from last year's version, but once I got used to it I loved the new changes. I love the pitching meter (so much more realistic than the "timing" pitching in MVP), the turbo and the new fielding animations. The gameplay is just unbelievable.
Anyway, I'm in the middle of June with the Yanks with some tweaked sliders on Legend with a small batting cursor. I've been scoring too many runs probably so I'm thinking about dropped the cursor size to very small.
I'm something like 43-19 I think, but only have a 2.5 game lead on the Sox. Glad they're actually good in this game unlike MVP where they were in 2nd to last in the AL East, only ahead of the D-Rays by a few games.
My offensive stats are amazing, because I started off the season on All-Star and then moved up to legend. A-Rod pretty much has the Triple Crown locked up alrady unless he gets hurt or Giambi catches him in homers.
Pitching is what I'm more concerned about. My bullpen is unbelievable. Rivera, Quantrill, White all over ERA's under 3.00 (Rivera 1.90 w/ no BS) and Gordon is a shade over 3.00. But my starters have been pretty sub par. I guess I would consider Vasquez my ace, who's 8-3 with a 3.89 ERA. The rest of my starters are over 4.00 ERA. Brown is 5-3, Mussina is 6-4, Dontrelle Willis is 4-4. And then there is Contreras. Who is 6-1 with a 2.42 ERA. I rarely pictch him more than 6 innings, so maybe thats why he's got a great record so far. I was wondering how he was doing for any of you guys, and how your dynasty is going in general.
