I need help with true aim

Can somebody please help me,I'm having trouble understanding true aim.Do you aim with the left stick then push the hit button? or do you aim and swing at the same time, meaning push left stick and swing? Can somebody please clear this up for me?
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Aim whenever you feel you need to, just don't try and aim after you're swinging, then you're already in position to hit it.

Think of it this way; first you place the bat on the ball (aim w/ left stick), then you time your swing (A button and/or B button if you are not using classic swing set up). Don't forget that ESPN Has a 360 degree stike zone. Don't just jam the left stick all the way in one direction. You really have to try and place the bat on the ball where it is pitched.
