Finally threw my first perfect game!!!!!!

[ehh]

In the HISTORY of me playing baseball games. In a dozen years or so (back to the Hardball series for Commodore 64) I had never even thrown a no-hitter, let alone a perfect game. I was starting to feel like the Mets, with tons and tons of one-hitters. But finally in my inter-league game out in LA against the Dodgers, Mike Mussina sent 27 in a row back to the dugout for the Yanks 4th perfect game in their history.


I struck out 9 and had some nice defensive plays to help me out. With one out in the 9th, Lo Duca hit a liner to center that Bernie had to make a diving catch to grab. Definately thought I lost the perfect game as soon as he hit it, but Bernie made a great play. Milton Bradley also missed a homer to right by about 3 feet, phew.


Good feeling to finally get the monkey off my back.

Great Job......I know the feeling of "almost" getting it......I have throw 2 no- hitters (one in All Star Baseball 2000, the other in World Series '95...) but lost the perfect game due to walks....The closest I came to being perfect was in World Series 2k1 with Orlando Hernandez for the yanks....9 2/3's perfect before a single.......I got really nervous around the 7th inning when I had the no-no's in sight.....It's a cool feeling when it happens and really sucks when you lose it.....Congrat's again....

My resume includes a no-no on World Series Baseball '95 (Mike Maddux), a no-no in All Star Baseball 2000 (Pedro), a perfect game in All Star Baseball 2001 (Pedro), and a couple of weeks ago a perfect game in MVP 2004 (Wakefield). All on the hardest difficulty mind you. I'm still working on one in ESPN, dunno if I'm going to be able to get it though because it seems much harder to abuse the batters with good pitching. Maybe once I figure out how the game wants me to pitch to these guys. Anyways, once again, congrats!

in WSB 2K3 i had a perfect game going into the 9th. I got the first two batters out easily, but then the last batter doubled off of me. It was pretty sad but i still won.
