So I've got my created player with the Cubs. And I've hit a huge slump about 100 games in, where I strike out with him about 2 times a game, on average. This has been going on for 10 games or so.

Anyway, I notice that I keep striking out on curveballs low and in. Sometimes outside or elsewhere, but almost always curveballs (straight ball, I hit it very much). For instance, I'm playing the game right now, and I just had an at bat where I saw 6 curveballs low and in, and only one fastball. 7 pitch K for me. The guy's been working me curveballs all game.

Now, it cannot be that the game tracks each individual player's tendencies, can it? Even if it could do that within an individual game, it would be amazing, but mine has been going on for two weeks (with some great fastball pitchers mixed in), and maybe it has happened with other players and I just have not noticed.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? It could be coincidence, but it would be wonderful if it is not.

i doubt that it tracks how you hit with each individual player, but it does track how YOU hit, there is a profile you can look at where you can see how you do against every kind of pitch and location

That's true. But I don't notice this with any other of my players. Who knows, though, because I am so locked in on my created guy.

how often do you play your games? do you sim ahead sometimes? i'm asking because maybe he's got low confidence right now and that carries over when you keep playing your games, i noticed i whiff alot when my guys have low confidence, it's like they don't have as much plate coverage or something

I only play one out of every three games, and my guy is hitting pretty well in the other ones.
