As far as which baseball game to get, play them both and get the one that you like the best. 2 years ago I thought MVP was the best. Last year I didn't like how any of them played. So this year I'll rent them all again and hopefully will find one worth paying full price for.
Are you sure that TT bid on the rights?
I was under the distinct impression that EA was the only one who was negotiating a deal at the time. It probably went more something like this.

NFL to Take Two:"EA has offered us 300 million for the exclusive rights to the players association, stadiums and other NFL entities. Do you propose a counter offer"
Take Two to NFL:" See ya'!"

Please....don't try and make this out to be a fair and level playing field. I for one don't give a rat's arse about actual players(as long as there is an editor) as much as I do about the gameplay...but the EA/NFL deal stinks to high heaven.

I am upset over the EA deal with the NFL and I was not a big fan of MVP baseball last year.

So I will probably wait until the afternoon of the release day to buy it!

Seriously, if you like baseball get both games and play them for a few weeks. You can recoup most of your money by selling the one you don't like on half.com or Ebay.

Go with the one you like the best. Personally I am getting both. MVP for PC and ESPN for Xbox. The best of both worlds. I enjoyed both games last year. They are both unique and I enjoyed the gameplay of both.

Positive. They admitted they bid. My guess is the same people whining about EA winning the bidding wouldn't be quite so vocal if TT had won. Blame the money-grubbing whores in the NFL. Good thing they have such a great product though.

                MLB: Red Sox
