How can VC differentiate ESPN MLB2K5 this year?
Next year, they may be the only game in town. They'll be the flahship franchise of VC so I'm sure they'll be good and all. But this year, you have MVP having a huge fan base. ESPN MLB was an everyage game last year at best. Sony and Nintendo all coming out with their own console games at $39.99. I think VC/TT has no choice but to price ESPN at $20 to attract new buyers. How else can they do it? Advertising? EA will outspend them. Just curious what you guys think...Tags: None -
Re: How can VC differentiate ESPN MLB2K5 this year?
what i think is that you just don't want to pay 50 bucks for this game, so you're reaching for any possible reason to make them put the price back down to 20.
Sure i'd love the game to be 20 bucks, but i don't see it happening, especially when they lost out on the football license and a ton of their revenue right there. I'd say charity season is over.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York Rangers -

Re: How can VC differentiate ESPN MLB2K5 this year?
If they're gonna charge $50, they better give us a game worth $50. Cuz last year's at $20 was still too much.
I think they'll need to lower the price if they continue with the quality of baseball games they've been making. But, if they improve everything, possibly with a ground-up(a true ground-up, not like this year's) rebuild like NFL did two years ago, then I'd say $50 would be more than fair.
I guess we'll see what this year's turns out like, whether or not it's a good foundation to build on like MVP was it's first year.Comment
