    Slam zone default online...

    After reading the Q&A, it said that the slam zone can only be turned off for online unranked games and leagues.

    Do you think its a mistake to have the slamzone on for default ranked games?

    I know that since none of us have played it, we cant come to any definitive conclusions, but I know that if the slamzone turns out to be gimmicky then it would turn me off from ranked games online, since I focus on realism and sim games, not slam fests.... (not to say I know that will happen)

      Wow, that's horrible. Poor decision.

      This gives me hope that it can be turned off OFFLINE, however.

              Yeah, I'm nearly positive it can be turned off online, but I don’t get nearly the same thrill as I do when I play online.

              I'm not concerned with ranking or anything, I just enjoy the competition amongst actual people...

              Anyway since none of us have played it, we can only hope it wont become a slam fest, but I just think having it as default option for online ranked games, was a mistake...

                      From the IGN POTD, it seems to be an interactive thing with both the batter and pitcher button-mashing to determine if there is contact or not, and if there is contact, how hard the contact is. It seems gimmicky at the moment, but you never know.
