Does this game look too good to be true?

I got an Xbox 3 years ago for WSB2k2. I bought 2k3, and it was a decent game, but the swing animations were horrible compared to MVP. Last year, I didn't even try 2k4 because MVP 2004 was absolutely stunning IMO. However, while MVP looks like a gem this year, I am shocked at how amazing MLB 2k5 looks. The stats seem very in depth, the little details are extremely impressive, just everything looks really, really cool.

Does everyone else agree? The only problem I've seen is the sound of the ball hitting the bat, but that's very minor at this point. The commentary sounds very fluid and well done.... is this game really going to be this great? What are all of your concerns so far about the game, because honestly I can't find anything bad. I may very well be playing this more than MVP this year...

Yeah i know what you mean this game wasnt really on my radar until last week, i thought it wasnt coming out until april and i was expecting 2k4 with minor improvements OMG or should i say TG(ThankGOD) it not.



And the commentary is the best i have ever heard in any sports game M&M are the best in the game and ingame, just feel so safe and engulfed when i listen to them.<HA!< p>

But yeah im really looking forward to this one

All I know is that it better be light years better than last year's offering, or my #2 baseball game this year(after MVP) will be MLB on the PS2/PSP.

I'm with you guys, I check OS a dozen times a day in hopes of new info! As for the "too good to be true" part, I STILL haven't seen a behind the pitcher view, OR specific stadium animations. (Apple @ Shea, etc...) I think this title will make a HUGE jump forward this season...

the still shots look so amazing, but I want to see more video. everytime I see a video I see stuff I don't like though.

it is really a toss up this year as to which is the best, hard for me to tell, I need to play them
