Video resolution? 720i

    Video resolution? 720i


    I wonder if these movies and screen shots are all in 720i? i have a mitsu 50 inch widescreen hd tv and its supports 480i p and 1024i but wont let my games do 720i.... anyone have a tv that does or some way of getting this resolution?

    Never heard of that.

    Anyway, I'm not sure if there will be a resolution above 480p for this game because of the normal mapping. It would cause a very suffering framerate.

        You're TV will only do 720p if it's set up to do so. Most older HDTV's would only do 480p and 1080i. Now most tubes/projections will do 720p and upconvert it to 1080i. Just turn off 720p from the XBox dashboard and don't worry about it.

          You're TV will only do 720p if it's set up to do so. Most older HDTV's would only do 480p and 1080i. Now most tubes/projections will do 720p and upconvert it to 1080i. Just turn off 720p from the XBox dashboard and don't worry about it.

            if the game is capable of running in 720p and your tv will only do 480p or 1080i, like most, i'm sure you will have to leave the 720p checked off in the dashboard, then your tv will upconvert the signal to 1080i, if you uncheck the 720p there is no way for your tv to recognize the 720p signal to start with.

                The game will run in 480p. Your TV will show this game in it's native resolution. This game will not be in 720p.

                        Please note, while you are apparently cool because you have such a t.v , I have yet to hear of anything in the world being 720i.

                            480p/1080i but no 720p


                            FWIW...NFL2k5 in 480p still looks GREAT

                              480p/1080i but no 720p


                              FWIW...NFL2k5 in 480p still looks GREAT
