Is this game, what used to be ASB....

The question is in the title above.

I see ASB2k5, but is this 2k sports MLB2k5, the same game, a different game, or the new version of ASB2k5.

Or are they 2 different games.. and if its a new version, Shouldn't it be 2k6, since ASB is already 2k5.???

    Just a little confused here.

Mods, Once this is answered , please feel free to delete the thread so it does not take up space.

    Thanks.

No, ASB is dead and gone. It was developed by Acclaim. MLB 2k5 is what used to be ESPN Baseball from Sega. Developed by Kush.

I think that this game was once World Series Baseball.

            Holly crap.

What happened to ASB.. That was a great game.. I had ASB2k4, Didn't get 2k5, but I thought I'd try 2k6 this year..

I bought an Xbox just for ASB2k4. Of course My son pawned it, But it looks like I will have to buy a PS2 now to try the other 989 Sports MLB2k5.

It it supposed to have a manage mode feature. And of course MVP2k5 for the PC.

Maybe the problem you're having is that you're calling ASB2005, ASB2k5. And then I see you're calling EA's game MVP2k5.

The only 2k is Sega's game (formally World Series Baseball, ESPN). ASB and EA go by the full year for their titles. So, if Acclaim were still around it would be ASB2006.

                    Hey CleveCluby,

Yeah, ASB is finished for good. It had the manage only mode which I liked too. I now you are a HH convert , so MVP for PC might be your best bet this year. The mod community is doing similar things for MVP which remind me of the old HH days.

I'm going to give World Series baseball a go this year and probably go with MVP for PC due to all the mods you can do.

I second that. MVP on the PC is a completely different experience than it is on the consoles. It's not High Heat but it does carry its own weight.
