MLB 2k5 on ESPN news
They just had a guy from IGN on the HotList talking about the best baseball games out for 2005. The host asked what is the best game out there and to that he replied, " MLB 2k5 is BY FAR the best game on the market" Great news to hear with all the MVP talk that usually comes from IGN.Tags: None -

Re: MLB 2k5 on ESPN news
I posted this elsewhere too.
Nice of them to support the game with their name on it now! Gee, all you ever see on ESPN is Madden horse-ship, EA horse-ship and ironically they will begin to have their partnership with EA next year and suddenly their game gets praise?! And from IGN no less? Right.
Hopefully it is deserved, but I can't trust any of the game/sports industry anymore. That sounds foolish and a bit harsh, but it is unfortunately true. Did anyone see the same thing last year? Gee, guess who it was as the #1? MVP. And at fotball season, they did the same thing, a young black guy, and guess who was "by far" the best? Madden. Ironic huh?Comment

Re: MLB 2k5 on ESPN news
Originally posted by jkrat05It was only maybe a 5 minute piece on baseball video games coming out this year. He made his comment about "2k5 being by far the best" and then went on to talk about the Slam Zone (which is beginning to grow on me) the host then asked about what game was the next best or as he said the "next level" and he said that was MVP. He didn't say too much about MVP but he mentioned that it improved over last year and talked about the manager arguments and how managers can be tossed from the game. (actually sounds pretty cool. you can lose the control over substitutions, they'll be taken over by the computer) Finally he went on to talk about MLB and how in a 3 horse race one had to finish last and this will be MLB2006. He said overall there weren't any great improvements to the game and that MVP and MLB 2k5 were the top 2. He mentioned the exclusive MLB rights deal with Take 2 but said there may be a loophole for EA but it will be the last year for baseball games as we know them.
