I just called a few of my local places and It's not looking good. (for me)

Gamestop said that they're getting it march 1st and when I said there site said differently they acted like I had no idea what I was talking about and also it took her about 5 minutes to realize I was talking about MLB 2k5 and not MLB 2006. (she kept saying it was 2006 and I kept saying that I was not talking about the 989 game)

EB Games said they're getting there copy march 2nd.

Gamecrazy said march 2nd for BOTH games. (mvp and espn) I told them about gamestop/eb and they said that if they get there copies in tommorow thats great but as far as he knows, its staying march 2nd.

Ugh, why are the game stores around me so crappy?

Give it some time, the stores said the same thing when MVP date changed. I called all the stores and they said March 2 for MVP05 when all the websites had it at the Feb 22

Guys everything will be fine, I just got back from pre-ordering it just now. If you call or go into the store, YOU MUST ASK FOR MAJOR LEAGUE BASESBALL 2K5 IF GOING TO GAMESTOP. This si the only way that it will come up in their system. Trust me it took us 20 minutes after I explained to the gentlemen that i was not looking for MLB 2006 or MVP 2005. He called 6 stores and even the managers at the other stores were going crazy. There were about 10 -15 people that were behind me and started to cheer when he finally found it in the system with 2-23 as the in store date.YES!!

This mystery has always puzzled me....

Its a video game......stores like EB & Gamestop are supposed to specialize in video games right?

Then why must it me like pulling teeth to get an accurate ship date on a specific game?


It would be akin to calling Ticketmaster to order some tickets to see Liza Minnelli in concert on March 26th (just an example) & having the customer service person have no idea what on earth your talking about, instead giving the the lastest info for U2.
