Re: Let clear up the LOUD bat sound myth right now
A cannon is an exaggeration. It sounds exactly like an gigantic sawed-off shot gun. I'd still be ducking under my seat if I heard that at a baseball game. The loud bat sound is a myth in the same way that "water is wet" is a myth.Comment

It does sound like every single hit in MLB2K5 is a smashed bat. Bloops, homers, pop fouls. They all sound as if they were absolutely crushed. I know what you mean, it sounds like a sound effect an arcade baseball game would implement. It's way over the top.Originally posted by CyranoA cannon is an exaggeration. It sounds like a broken-bat/HR everytime but people were acting like it was going to be triple play all over again or something.Originally posted by jim416Folks, sorry, but I just don't get this LOUD bat explosion sound. When I first heard it I was laughing to myself. "That's what all the fuss is?"Comment

Re: Let clear up the LOUD bat sound myth right now
It doesn't affect gameplay at all (unless you rely on the sound of the ball hitting the bat to determine what kind of shot you hit or was hit against you. They put so much time into getting the sound of the commentary near perfect, why not record the sound of different kinds of hits to add variety?Originally posted by p2xgamersIt sounds like a broken-bat/HR everytime but people were acting like it was going to be triple play all over again or something.
Again, doesn't affect gameplay so if this is the reason you don't play the game...well that's kinda anal.NFL: Patriots
