I've heard a few people comment about AUTO field. Is that option in the game? Where? Thanx.

I don't have the game yet, but I don't think it has an auto-field function. It wasn't there last year or the year before that.

It depends what you define by "auto-field". There is a auto lock on feature so that when there is a fly ball or whatever and your close to it the fielder basically catches it automatically. But if you mean fielding is done all by the CPU, then no.

There is no auto field option. I don't get why either, it's not like it would be hard to implement the AI for auto fielding is in for the CPU already.

Of course not being able to throw to a cutoff man is also a mystery to me.

You hold down L to throw to the cutoff man. You can see it when you throw it has an L above the guy's head.

Yeah I have no idea either. I really miss that. (very good if someone is going home and instead of throwing to home and risking someone also going to second, throwing to a cutoff man)

I know you can but say someone hits it out to the outfield...instead of pressing B and then pressing L to cut the ball of what if someone just wanted to throw it directly to the cut off man? Is that possible?
