Ridiculous how good this game is online vs. a capable player

me and aragorn453 just played the most intense game ever, myself as the mets vs. his marlins

Dontrelle and Glavine were the starters and i got to Willis early for 6 runs...Cabrera hit a 2-run HR off Glavine around the 4th inning and Glavine was cruising up 6-2.

He got Pierre and Castillo on with a clever bunt-and-run and Cabrera got locked in on a 'slam-zone' mistake i made...i sent Floyd racing back and made an unbelievable wall climb (but believable) and allowed a run later in the inning...

aragorn couldn't know exactly but the vibration and pulsing and dilation of the pitching reticule was so intense and difficult...i accidentally put in a cold Braden Looper (he somehow did the same with Mota) and a similarly sticky situation arose in the 7th inning i think...i was down to my last 2 bullpen pitchers (DeJean and Fortunato) and he had the bases loaded and mike Lowell had a 3-0 count....he said he'd post more but the game had us just awestruck...

easily the best sports single 'game' (as in the exact game) either of us had played....

I know a lot of people have "best game" stories but we're both baseball nuts and this one was just mind-blowing

Sounds really good.....like I said in a previous thread, I can tolerate SlamZone as long as it doesn't take over the game (and maintains that "in the zone" feel that Jeter mentioned). From what I'm seeing in the impressions threads so far, it doesn't sound like it will happen too frequently.

Yeah. I had my best game in CH05 online. 55-54. Man.. my heart my pounding near the end.. I felt like I couldn't exhale till the game was over & I won it after blowing 23 point lead in the 2nd half.. I lead throughtout the game untill the 1 minute mark. Then things got really hectic..

            Boondock:

Were there any walks in your game? Balls outside the strike zone? Just curious.

            Thanks!
