I like ESPN better but if you were a huge fan of the style gameplay MVP 04 had, then go with that game. Though your best bet would be to buy both for $50 total.

Just bought 2k5..I already had MVP 05...MVP is BY FAR the better game...2k5 has some very weird things goin on topped off by the SLAM ZONE...Fielding is weird...throwing animations are weird. Outfielders look weird when waiting for a fly ball to drop outta the sky. The camera angles are weird. I'm just not impressed with 2k5...IMO it was/is a waste of $21.50

Funny, that is the same thing I thought about MVP this season!

Well since you haven't played MLB 2k5 your opinion really doesn't count. That's like me comparing my 32" TV to my other 60" TV. My opinion on that wouldn't count because I lied, I don't have a 60" TV.

I wouldn't of said this if not for you mentioning Slam Zone considering you can turn it off. (I know, such a huge effort going into the menu and turning it to "Off") I'm in no way a 2k5 fanboy but I really hate it when other fanboys put down the competitor and lie about them playing the game when they haven't.

i think it depends if you plan on playing online much... if you do, then go with 2K5 because Mvp has forced 5 inning ranked games...

I also don't like the hitting in MVP or the fielding meters in general either...

I know that's what he said but unless he didn't do anything in the game he would know that you can turn off slam zone so it's not a big deal and the camera can be changed too. That's why I said that he's lying.
