RG, I cannot figure it. I'm doing the exact same thing you're doing.

I even used the default roster, thinking maybe there was a glitch with my updated roster, nada.

Jim416, from the posts I've read from you the past year or so I take it your a major baseball video game player. I was wondering if you've posted any impressions of the game and how you like it overall compared to MVP. Also whether you think the bugs are killing the game or not. Thanks!

                    Re: Season mode problem

I love this game. Important for me is....complete control of all rosters/lineups/trades. This game has it. The menu is a breeze (even thought I panicked at the season team control thing).

OK, good/bad/ugly. This just me talkin....

                    GOOD

                    1. Great presentation. The best I've seen. Many different camera angles.
                    2. Miller and Morgan are fantastic, even though Miller will sometimes call a playr by the wrong name, the other commentary makes up for it.
                    3. Graphics are really good, crisp, bright.
                    4. Just feels like you're at the ball park. Lot's of catcalls, atmosphere.
                    5. You could spend a week adjusting the sliders. Definitely makes the game fit your personal tastes.
                    BAD

                    1. Animations are stiff, but then there are some terrific animations too. I made a leap at the wall and robbed a homerun that was fantastic, especially the replays. The swing animations look good this year.
                    2. Fielding. It took awhile, but when I put the CPU batting camera to HIGH I was able to field. I also had to jack the speed burst/power way up. This made up for my delay trying to pickup the ball landing marker (which needs to be somewhat brighter).
                    3. Running. It is my opinion that the guy who thought this up is a moron. It's a chore to get used to, for me. I'm still struggling with it, but I'm gettin' there.

                    THE UGLY

                    1. Passed balls, I guess. I've been playing CLASSIC pitching/batting and get, on average, one passed/wild pitch a game. That's all I've seen. For me there's not a problem.

                    2. The sound of the bat hitting the ball. MY OPINION, this is the most exaggerated complaint I've heard. I've heard it described as an 'explosion', 'cannon shot', etc. Sorry, I don't get it. Furthermore, you can turn it completely off if you want. Geez, if people don't like it just turn it down.

I really like this game, little annoyances and all. I've had two great exhibition games in a row and am starting my season tonight after making all the roster moves.

MVP.....Played it last night. It plays a great game of ball (have the PC version), and it looks like they've found a fix to throw more balls CPU and user.
BUT, for me, I can't play it. I simmed two months of a season last night to see what happened. The AI promoted and demoted far too many ML/AAA players for me. I just need some semblance of roster integrity. This game doesn't do it. Is it a good game? Yep.

Hope that helps. Probably have left somethings out regarding MLB 2k5.
