For people thinking about getting 2k5

Just picked up 2K5 today, and it could be the biggest dissapointment in my history of video games. I even liked last years ESPN game too. 2K5 doesn't even compare to mvp. Graphics, gameplay, bugs, franchise, everything, MVP runs away with it.

I bought it too a few days ago because of the 20$ price tag but I was extremely dissapointed with it. I honestly cant see how any realistic baseball fan could possibly enjoy 2K5. The only thing it has going for it is the presentation and announcing. The graphics, animations, and gameplay are dissapointing and very unrealistic. It still feels waaaay to arcadey to me. I played 1 game and had to go back to MVP because I couldn't sit through another one at how bad it was compared to MVP.

I've heard there are an extreme amount of passed balls and wild pitches, saw one instance of 5 straight. I thought about maybe getting both games, but MVP is the only baseball game I need, unless I get a new PC, and pick up the PC version as well!

I disagree its pretty buggy. I played about 3 games and was very disappointed in everything but the presentation.. installed mvp and I havent played one game of 2k5 since.

Yeah I am not doing any backflips over it either. And this comes from one of VC's biggest fans. All of thier games get much play in my system but this one at this point has left a lot to be desired.

I might have felt otherwise had I not been playing MVP all week but because that is such a great game MLB almost out of the box has little or no room for error and that may or may not be fair but its true.

I will continue to play around with it for the next few days or so and not give up on it but my initial impressions are not good.

VC/Kush laid an egg on this one. I love NBA,NFL, CH, 2k5.. But MLB 2k5 is the red headed step child that no one wants to play with..
