Everytime people fight on a message board about grammar and capitalization, a newborn puppy gets caught in a trash disposal.

Why a trash disposal? And I really hate fighting too but I can't let a one-minded person like srudoff put me down without fighting back.

If in every game the CPU pitcher breaks the record for wild pitches in an inning and a game, there is no way you can say that the gameplay is more realistic than last year.

If you think that the lack of realism makes the gameplay better, have fun!

BTW, just so everyone realizes, the Major League Baseball records for most wild pitches are:

                  Most (In A Season)
                  AL Juan Guzman
                  Toronto
                  26 1993

                  NL Bill Stemmeyer
                  Boston
                  64 1886

                  Most (In a Game)
                  AL - 5

                  Jack Morris
                  Detroit
                  08-03-1987

                  Charlie Wheatley
                  Detroit
                  09-27-1912

                  NL - 10
                  Johnny Ryan
                  Louisville
                  07-22-1876

                  Most (In An Inning)
                  AL - 4
                  Walter Johnson
                  Washington
                  09-21-1914
                  4th Inning

                  NL - 4
                  Phil Niekro
                  Atlanta
                  08-04-1979
                  5th Inning

So I am really not exaggerating...the last 5 games I have played, now that I am getting guys on base pretty often, I have broken the single inning and total game records in each one. Hell, Mark Prior threw 4 straight wild pitches in one at bat. I could just make my guys go back to the previous base, but I don't want to have to. For some this is acceptable and it doesn't bother them. I can't play a title like this though, and if I were buying just one game this year, I would recommend MVP over MLB as a result.

The most I have seen in one game was 3. Strange thing is that when I get them there is a runner on first or second, I've never had one with a runner on third. So I don't know if it's a pressure situation problem or not. In the last couple games I played, there were none. They were both low scoring games, I don't know if that contributes to it at all.

A pickly situation for T2 to figure out.

There always seems to be people that have an opinion on both games, wich is cool. The only thing that is not cool is, if you haven't played both don't say wich one is better just because you a fan of the company who makes the game, I don't think anyone could make a true judgement on a game they haven't played, and saying "oh I played last years game" that donesn't count. Anyway I was so hyped up for MLB2k5 and I played it and I didn't like it at all, I think it was terrible, I really thought the gameplay was the worst thinkg in MLB2k5 this year. Now that's just my opinion, my opinion means nothing to you guys at all. Anyway I wasn't even going to buy MVP this year and boy I'm glad I did, I'm not going into all this about MVP cause this is an MLB2k5 thread, so I just wanna say MVP is by far the best baseball game I ver played, and for the people who Played MVP and don't like it thats cool and I thank you for being honest, I'm not going to say "yeah right it's the best you don't know what your talking about" cause thats your opinion and I respect it. I agree. I had no intention of getting MVP. I picked up MLB the day it came out and loved it for a night, then quickly realized there were issues. Fortunately it appears so far that there aren't any issues like this in MVP, and it is a fun game to play.

If the presentation of ESPN keeps you coming back for more, great. That part of the game is truly fantastic and is far superior to MVP's. That just isn't the most important part of the game for me.
