This game seriously needs a high fielding cam . . .

Playing a game last night against my buddy. Ball hit off the monster in Fenway. Manny Ramirez was camped under it like a normal fly ball, so my friend and I thought it was a normal flyout (balll lands in Manny's glove). But we hear Miller say 'it's off the wall!' It cost my buddy a rally as there were runners on first and second with no outs at the time.

The problem is that there is absolutely NO WAY to tell if the ball is off the wall or if it's a catchable fly ball. The marker doesn't help as it is always on the field where the ball will land. On playable foul balls, the camera is aimed at the landing spot and you have absolutely no idea where your fielders are and who is the closest to it for you to switch over and control to try and make a play.

A high fielding camera would reduce these kinds of misjudgments by the user AND possibly camaflouge some of the ugly DP animations.

High Heat had a high fielding camera. Besides it's unparalleled AI and gameplay, I believe that the higher view is the main reason many tolerated the otherwise ugly graphics at the time.

I hope that Take 2/Kush will add this kind of fielding camera next year.

    I agree.

Give us an option to customize the fielding view.

So far, I'm getting that it's a playable camera, but I really just wish that they'd listen to our requests about an option for a higher fielding camera by now.

And no, when I say higher, I don't mean a steeper angle to look down on (which is probably what they'd think), I mean more zoomed out.

Besides the monster thing, the other issue I had with the camera was in a game with the wind blowing hard, like 27mph or something. Anyway, a high fly ball would start down the line, but the game new where the ball would land so the camera shifted to the right/center view. I could see the ball marker start to drift into the field of view but I had no idea where my right fielder was. I just kept running and eventually he showed up on the screen. Problem was, he was about 10 feet behind the the ball and not make the catch .

Fielding options are too limited, but there is an option to always have the camera on the fielder. Do you have that turned off?
