My Review of PS2 Version
hey guys, I just got the PS2 version last night and let me just say....I'm addicted. I only planned only playing one game, just to try it out. I ended up playing four games. I was up till like 2 in the morning. This game is great. The first game was played with my Cubbies. In the first inning I was still getting familar with the timing on the pitching and next thing I know, Slamzone...Larry Walker belts one out of the park. Prior was awesome the rest of the game and I ended up losing 1-0. My second game was Cinny and Milwaukee. I was the Reds and Griffey goes yard first inning, with a normal swing, not power. Wilson went the full nine with 12 strikeouts. In the games I've played I've had two passed balls, both with people on base, both by the CPU. No choppy animations or anything yet. Great commentary by Miller and Morgan, they were on point all four games, never lagging. The throwing animations are a little weird looking, but not a game killer. The baserunning does take some getting used to. I think I probably lost 3 or 4 runs just by stupid base running mistakes. Overall I would give this game a 8.9/10. I had MVP last year and loved it, but this is just a little more fun. The ESPN graphics are nice and really make it feel like you're watching the game on TV. For $20 it is a steal!Tags: None -
