another crappy ending
I was in the bottom of the 9th, using gallardo sliders, no passed balls by the cpu, that's ok, but suddenly it went crazy with errors, that is, 3 consecutive ridiculous errors, two by the second base and one by the first, each throw to the base was an easy layup. Now I wonder is this a side effect of ai errors to 50Tags: None -

Re: another crappy ending
Ok but the strange thing is that it all happened at the end of the game when the cpu had clinched the win. It was like I was getting help cause I was trailing, a sort of performance equity, is there a slider of this kind?Comment

Re: another crappy ending
I have the CPU at 50 and human at 30. I'm averaging about 1 error per game for each team now. Only one passed ball since adjusting the error sliders (probably 5 games). I may bump the CPU errors down to 45 and see what happens. For the most part it's all working very well now.Comment

Re: another crappy ending
I don't want this to come across like a fanboy post but...
I've played about 80 games so far and honestly...the error rate is not totally off base.
I just finished a road trip to Tampa Bay where the Sox committed no errors. Earlier in the season (1st home stand vs Yankees) I saw 2 passed balls in 1 game and then in the next game 3 errors in 1 inning, and I was pretty pissed!
What ends up happening is that the players, in my experience, seem pretty streaky. Players who generally DONT committ errors, won't. Those who are prone to it seem to go in spurts where there are a LOT of them and then that's followed by a draught.
I guess you could definitely make the argument that the error rates are very artificial in their span from one another...but in the end, the fielding % seem to be pretty accurate. I don't have anyone who has more than like 8 errors (Manny if you care to know).
So, just give it a chance. Watch sportscenter and check out the highlights, there are some screwed up things that happen in baseball. Just because people are playing 15 games and saying well...I've seen 1 error every game and 2 passed balls a game the game is flawed...will probably be surprised when they go through 6 or 7 games without any problems...then they'll complain there are too few errors!Comment
