How fast are the games?

I have been playing MVP and the games take way too long for me. Does ESPN move pretty quick

It depends on what you're doing. For instance, there are people that watch every replay and walkup, to see stats, etc. Those same people may also look at hot/cold zones for batters and pitchers each and every pitch. They also may be fine in pinpointing their location, and going into about 4 or 5 pitches until they hit. Those people's games are about 50 minutes.

If those guys turn on Hurry Up Baseball, their games are 20 minutes tops.


The other people are probably about 35 - 40 minutes, with their games with Hurry Up Baseball about 13 minutes or so.

Is this an option that can be turned on or off?

Does it just cut out all the extra replays? Or is it like All-Star Baseball where it will give a random count to start with?

Hurry-up baseball is an option that can be turned on or off.
There are no cut scenes, replays or anything like that. It's basically one pitch right after another at a breakneck speed. It's good if you're looking to play a real quick game (less than 30 minutes, I think, for nine innings). I didn't like it, however, because you're working so fast you hardly have time to think. And I like watching some of the cutscenes.
You're right that MVP seems to take longer. In 2k5, in regular mode, it takes me maybe 30 minutes for a five-inning game, which I like. I might bump it up to six innings, but I'm not a fan of nine-inning games. I like playing different teams and two or three games in one 60- to 90-minute sitting.

Hurry-up baseball is an option that can be turned on or off.
