Just so long as Tim McCarver is nowhere near this game... God, I can't stand listening to him call a game.

Yeah I gave that game about two days before quitting in complete frustration... and I turned off Joe and Tim after about 5 mins.

well, when you look at what kush did with the nhl 2k series, 2k5 w/o a doubt being the most sim hockey game ever made i think there is a great chance take2 can do the same for baseball.

I think Kush does an excellent job of improving their games. I saw this with both College Hoops and NHL series'. The first editions were promising and did many things well, but were plagued with significant problems which many gamers could not overcome. The following year, the problems had been addressed and corrected.

CH2k3 looked decent and had 300+ teams. But it was very stiff with a frustrating amount of missed layups. 2K4 & 2k5 corrected and improved this. NHL2K4 had the supergoales and of lesser importance, some botched retro uniforms. 2K5 finally corrected the goalie issue, and the retros were fixed (which is cool for old guys like me.)

The same cannot be said for all games. As much as I like NCAA Football, the CPU still doesn't seem to run enough, there are too many drops on the short passes and too many catches on the bombs into triple coverage.

I am rambling, so let me just end it with that I am pretty optimistic that Kush will have a pretty decent game next year.

Kush took already 9ish rated NHL game and kept at 9ish rated game
they took 8ish rated baseball game and kept at 8ish rated game
they took 9ish rated NBA engine to create NCAA hoop to make 8ish rated game2k3 and 2k4....now VC took over NCAA2k5 hoop and is about to hit 9ish

just my personal opinion... Kush don't have talent to push games to another level
yes they can tweak and stuff....but it's just tweaked game

Most people think that NHL2K4 would have been a nine were it not for the super goalies that left it unplayable for many. I thought 2K5 was much better with the ability to score.

I don't know many people that gave CH2K3 a 9ish rating. 2K4 seemed to get a much more favorable reaction and 2K5 was even better.

At least that was my opinion of the games and the impressions that I got from the boards.
