first you should play hr derby to get used to the speed, i do it every year, and lower the pitch speed slider because niggas is throwin 97 like they got 50 randy johnsons in the game.....i hope for the roster update for apr. they lower pitchers pitch speeds if not maybe someone here will; thats the only problem i see left to address in the game.

but in addition to that, here's a few things I "normally" do as far as the two-button thing:

with power hitters:

less than two strikes - power
two strikes - contact
runners in scoring position less than 2 outs - power entire at-bat
runners in scoring position 2 outs - contact entire at-bat unless 3-1 count.


with regular hitters:

less than two strikes - contact
less than two strikes but ahead in the count - power
two strikes - contact
runners in scoring position less than 2 outs - power if ahead in count
runners in scoring position 2 outs - contact entire at-bat

Those are just a few situaitions and they can vary depending on score of game, etc.
