Smoltz can throw a knuckle ball, he doesn't throw it often but he can do it.

No he doesn't. I have been following the Mets and hence the NL East since the mid 80s and I have never seen John Smoltz ever throw a knuckleball. Hell any pitcher could throw one, but it doesn't mean that they do.

No he doesn't. I have been following the Mets and hence the NL East since the mid 80s and I have never seen John Smoltz ever throw a knuckleball. Hell any pitcher could throw one, but it doesn't mean that they do.

The last time Smoltz started regularly (1999), his elbow bothered him so much that he did infact begin throwing a knuckleball. Since his Tommy John surgery in 2000, he has not thrown the knuckler.

He's thrown probably like 9 in his whole professional life. I like this game but it just sucks with him having it as a regular pitch.

It's like giving Randy a knuckleball for the hell of it...this makes Smoltz the best starting pitcher in the game and he has not started in quite a few years.

Yup. Braves are my favorite team and I wouldn't use my favorite pitcher (Smoltz) online because I think it would be too cheap. I just edited him and took it off.
