Secret to getting Saves?

Is there a secret to getting your RP Saves? I have brought my closer in atleast 15 times now and he has only gotten a save twice.

You must be ahead by 1 to 3 runs and have the closer throw atleast 3 outs I believe. Also if there is a man in scoring position and less than two outs left in the game with 1 to 3 run lead, I believe the closer can get a save. Do a search for official rules and you will get a better explanation than this.

Just to add to what has already been posted:

To earn a save in baseball, the pitcher has to come into the game with a lead of 3 runs or less, and not give it up, while finishing the game. They have to pitch at least one inning. A pitcher can also earn a save by pitching 3+ innings to end a game. Typically, this means they pitch the 9th inning with a lead, and will not start the 9th unless the team has a 3 run or smaller lead.

Oh thats why..I have always brought him in when we were ahead alot so it was probably more than 3 each time. Thanks.
