Now after years of loyalty, they give me this basterdized version of a cursor hitting. All it is, is true aim with a cursor. You have no free movement of the cursor at all. It sucks.

Cursor Hitting?
I have been using cursor hitting since world series baseball 95 on the genesis to world series baseball 2k1 on the dreamcast to espn baseball last year. In every one of those games the cursor was free to move around as you please and I loved to hit this way, it was challenging yet with skill you can at least feel how you want to hit the ball and where.

Re: Cursor Hitting?
True, I wish they kept it as it was... you know, like how K-Zone 2 is. That's what the glory of cursor hitting was all about, that it was free-roam, and no default positioning.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60 -

Now thats funny, that new system they have is a joke to most vet players of the original series so they know good systems when they seem em' and this stuff is just a bunch of very confusing junk cluttering up the screen but it does look "pretty" and can be handled if thats your thing...I'm more use to whats been tried and proven to work, the new stuff is just too cluttered at times and the screen is just a mess at times to feel involved in the game IMO...it is "pretty" to see the "slam zone"...I guess thats for the arcade side in all of us.

Re: Cursor Hitting?
Cause its garbage. They better put out a patch with a free moving cursor or something which improves it movement cause right now its horrible!
How can you ruin a staple of the series for more than a decade! Why change it now?! Kush next year there better be some free moving cursors. Its rediculous!!
At least give us a patch that maybe gives us a cursor.Comment

What do you mean "no free movement at all"? I can move the cursor any place inside the strike zone and also outside the strike zone. Maybe you have a flawed copy or something.Comment

Re: Cursor Hitting?
No its hard to explain unless you used free roaming cursors before. It should be like K-zone 2 where the cursor doesn't revert back to its default position.
Example: If you push the cursor hard left in the older games it stayed there till you pushed it back manually. Meaning you could move the cursor low and away and just leave it there without having to hold the control stick in that direction.
With this new fangled piece of junk they have now, its pressure sensitive so if a ball is low and inside I can no longer lift the ball. It will always be a grounder. With the old free roaming cursor I can tommy hawk a high pitch down on the ground or pop up a ball that was pitched at my knees. I had the ability to sort of "direct" my hits ala Rod Carew. Now I'm at the mercy of this pressure sensitve cursor. 10 years of using free roaming cursor hitting goodness now gone for this junk. I wish I had played the game more earlier, I would have taken it back after noticing this mess.Comment
