    Baserunning

In the game manual and online manual, the game states you can control the baserunners by using the D-pad. It states you press the d-pad in the direction of the base you would like to go to. I have not been able to do this. I find that you can only use the D-pad left (advance) and right (retreat) to move the runners.

Has anyone been able to use the D-pad for advancing runners a la MVP?

The D-Pad only signals the runner to steal: D-Pad up, steal 2nd; etc. To advance-retreat the individual runners after that you have to use the triggers and runner-specific buttons.

Yeah, that is pretty much what I have noticed. I was just wondering if anyone had been able to do what the manuals state can be done. I guess it was a misprint.

The only thing the manual says about the D pad for baserunning is that you can use it for base stealing signals, like the other poster said, up for second left for third, down for home. Maybe your refering to actually taking control of the individual runner( R thumbstick in the direction of the base your on.

The D pad left will advance all runners and the D pad right will retreat all runners. I have had it work by not selecting any runner button after a hit and pressing left or right on the D pad. The triggers I ahve only got to work for the highlighted runner. I piked this up looking at the control layout screen in the game. But the D pad does work.

Total opposite for me, when I hit the left trigger it advances everyone. If I highlight a runner I can use the D pad to anvance him only.
