Meter Pitching. Anyone know how this exactly works?

So I posted this at another forum and had over 30 views but zero replies. Either no one really knows or they just don't want to answer
Someone did try and explain it but they didn't know for sure.
Can anyone give tips on what exactly you need to do in order to be successful?
I feel like i'm supposed to aim, hit my pitch i want and then wait till the meter line hits the middle of the white area. But so many times the pitch isn't even close to where i aimed it and it gets smashed for a HR.
    Anyone know what to do?

Just like you said: aim and start the meter. The problem I have with it, is if you miss the sweet spot on the meter the pitch doesn't just miss a little... it always ends up missing over the middle of the plate. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think it's programmed very well.

The meter stinks. The effort pitch is the best one to chose.

            baa,
I have many times hit the middle of the white area and that's usually when my pitch doesn't come close to hitting the mark. This is why i'm so confused about it. Plus, there's no real explanation of it in the manuel

I'm sure the particular P's Accuracy must come into play, although if you hit the sweet spot, it should be a decent pitch -- or what's the point of the exercise? Also, the higher the Strength cycle (once, twice or a third time) probably affects the overall accuracy. If you have two controllers, why not run a few tests? Pitch to the other controlled team and it won't swing, so you'll have time to look closely at where the pitches are hitting depending on the type and accuracy of your throws.

Senorian the reason your not hitting the spot is because you may have the Pitcher Variability Slider high. If it's @ 100 then this is why it's happening. You shoulkd lower it. Probably between 75-85...
