    Pitching too easy?

Anyone else feel like pitching in this game is too easy? I've become a bit bored with the pitching because my staff is having too good of a year. Just keep the ball down and nobody will hit you. I usually use classic pitching w/no cursor, and have been almost untouchable in legend mode. I even tried K-zone pitching today (for the second time ever) and pitched 6 scorelss innings with Ismael Valdez (Marlins #5 starter) before simulating the rest of the game. The CPU did not have a hit until the 4th, and had 4 hits total in the 6 innings I pitched.

what sliders are you using? i am using bigfnjoe's sliders, and the comp is getting their fair share of hits, walks, and runs off me. i am using classic pitching as well

K_ZONE is......its a great interface...just too easy for me...i have the "interface speed" jacked up to 92...to easy to get a perfect pitch

IF the developers added some pitch variability to KZONE pitching it'd be fantastic.

so now i use EFFORT with PITCH VARIABILITY slider jacked way up..85
Bummed that you're not on my ignore list yet?.....Don't worry, I'm sure you will be very soon.

Pitching is perfect in this game.

I love using K-Zone with the speed cranked up to 100.

Pitching has never been this fun before.

Default Legend is too easy. Raise AI Contact up from 60 to 70+ and Pitch Variability up from 60 to 85 at least, and maybe even lower AI Take Strike sliders -- they're pretty high. That should solve all your problems. And raise Pitch Speed up from 20 to somewhere above very slow ;-)

I agree pitching can still be a bit easy when it comes to hitting your spot, especially k-zone. I tinkered with P’s individual Accuracy ratings, and most (an average P) should really be in the 20-30 range. The average in this game is maybe 55-65, and those numbers should be really be reserved for the very good P’s, with only the super P’s having their Accuracy ratings in the 75+ range.

I also think that pitching is way too easy if you are using classic and effort. I even have the variability set at 100. Example....2 nights ago Sabathia threw 60 pitches and 52 strikes. I also had similar numbers with Prior. There is absolutely no variability. I was using the effort meter.

Again, Using No Pitching Cursor & No Vibration when using Meter, Effort or Classic will give you the most realistic pitching experience. Not to metion putting your pitching camera @ medium... Pitching Variability should be @ 100...

I'll give it a try Joe. I never use vibration but I have been using the cursor. I'll try it tonight.
