MLB 2K5 is officially fun to me now.

When I got the game, I liked the presentation but the gameplay was just to stressful for me. Plus, I had a big problem with some faces in this game ie: Raul Mondesi. I continued to play MVP 2005 since it played real smoothed and had no real problems. But soon I just kept giving this game chance after chance. Something about MVP 2005 makes it boring after some games. So I decided to myself that I'm try to make this game playable no matter what because the presentation just screams almost greatness. I looked all over for some sliders and got THE best slider I ever came across. I don't even know who they were from but thank you to whoever created them. Than I decided to fix the roster no matter what glitch occurred. If I had two SS I just put where the players should really be instead of concentrating on the positions. Since I've been enjoying this game more than I realized. Overall its still bad in some of its downfall but determination is the key for this game to be fun. Kudos to those who stuck with this game and who created sliders to make this product worth playing.

There's a fake P in the FA pool called "Fung" or something (55 overall) who looks like Raul. I just changed him to a RF, changed the name, and John calls him "Raul Mondesi" in-game. Then get rid of that strange looking generic dude they created for Mondesi -- ugh! -- and you're set ;-)

      baa7,

The name data base is huge. I'm looking forward to hearing some of the created players names that I put in the roster. Many of them were there.

Yep, I'm enjoying the game to, even though I got shut out by the Dodgers yesterday 1-0.

Yeah, even the majority of the 40 and 50 overall rated guys in the FA pool – players who will never see the light of a MLB career – have both their names announced. And a lot have their last name announced. And as I mentioned before, there’s 800 custom faces in this game… it’s unreal.

For anyone who's interested, here's an easy and quick way to check for announced names: set up a Situation game, 1st inning, 2 out, P batting. When the game starts, pinch hit and sub in the guy whose name you’re wondering about. 3 quick swings: top half of the inning over. When your P takes the mound, it’ll be the guy you subbed in. While he’s warming up on the mound, John will say either his name or number.

This game does take time to warm up to but once you do it plays a great game of baseball, the GM career mode really keeps my interest up.
