We need to find something fix 2k5

Im having alot of trouble trying to get into this ball game with all the glitches and stuff.
I have tried Bigfjoes sliders, like um, but after awhile it is hard to get runs.
I decided to try something, later tonight
Set all sliders to 0 and see how it plays.

Is there any slidres that do not make the ball float in ther air.

MVP does not float in the AIR the ball actually looks and plays like baseball.

ESPN should be one of the top notvh games out there and the developers should be playing the game instead of post Q&A.

Anyways im on the last thread with this game. If there is not fix back to MVP...

I KINDA WISH I HAD A PS2, never even had one but wanna play MLB2006, esp. since the commerical I saw on ESPN this eveing was knockout great.

    HELP ME.

Maybe a bunch of people can all send you $5 each and you could go out and get that PS2 -- would that help you? ;-)

Floaty balls? I don't know what to say... keep trying sliders, I guess. If MLB 2K5 doesn't do it for you, jim416 has a copy of MLB 2006 he wants to get rid of. Then you only need another couple hundred bucks.

If people are having trouble losing to the CPU, then I would say this game is just too easy for them. I haven't won a single game in the season I just started, and my Custom sliders are on the equivalent of what would be Rookie difficulty. But part of that is fielding ratings – especially P's – have to be lowered by up to 95%. That’s the game-killing glitch in this year’s game IMO – the vacuum-fielding P and infielders. And really, if people haven't edited fielding ratings, that's probably why they aren't getting a lot of hits, especially infield hits.

LOL really, and no you can't do anything about the floaty ball, it's 2k sports. How about the blast off the bat, only to have the ball float 2 feet in front of your shortstop and he has to dive for it, this game really sucks.

29 posts – that explains everything. “Sucks” huh? I believe it’s the EA forums you’re looking for. On this site, people talk “grownup”.

What does post number have to do with? Sure, judge someone by what they say, not how many posts they have. Einstein could have one post and you'd call him an idiot.

Although his complaint was wrapped in juvenile rhetoric, I thought he actually tried to describe a very real occurence in the game. As soon as I read his comment, I knew immediately what he was talking about:

You hear that loud crack of the bat as if the ball were going to go flying 400 feet - but instead the ball just kind of floats and on top of that, the sound of the ball hitting the bat is the same (except for broken bat sounds) whether it travels 85 feet to the shortstop or 400 feet into center field.

Lastly, he described the animation in which the infielder will just dive forward for the ball, falling flat on his face and smothering the ball when all of that is quite uncalled for.

So I think I know what he was talking about. And thinking that he was honest about it (although not extremely articulate) really prevents me from bashing him for his post.

Then again baa, I could be totally misinterpreting the "kiddytalk" language.

True about the hitting (although "ALL 2K games..."?!) On the other hand, read the guy's insightful contribution on the "CPU vs CPU Sliders" thread (pg 2).

And that’s not “falling”. That’s “diving” ;-) My SS dove like that for the ball on what was an easy grounder that he could have bare-handed and tossed underhand to the 2B guy. Instead, he dive-falls, and by the time he stands up the runner from 1st is safe on the play.
