    I can't make contact

I just got this game... and I'm using someones slider set (don't remember who)... I haven't been able to make contact with the ball at all... even with contact at 70.

I'm using "Real Baseball" and I've tried both True Aim amd cursor. I don't understand why it only lets me select where the pitch will be before the pitch... and when I move my cursor to the ball and swing during the pitch... the little red marker is in the same spot where my cursor was before the pitch was thrown.

    What am I doing wrong????

Many answers, all depending on sliders and settings. First, I'd suggest Pitch Speed no higher than 40, lower to start. Something that helps me: I lowered AI Corner and AI Location to 10. It's easier to tell balls from strikes, and strikes tend to be more in the middle of the zone. I can't help with cursor stuff, as mine are all turned off. And yes, you choose location before the pitch. The red circle indicates where you guessed.

And be aware that Cursor hitting is maybe 3 times harder. Stick with True Aim for a while.

So you can only choose where to swing before the pitch and not during? If thats true thats a little dissappointing for me. Oh well I'll have to deal. But tyhe thing is its not my timing thats off... its that I can never hit the pitch because the location I guessed is always wrong.

Cool. And the next 1000 begin... ;-) You know, I never try to guess location anymore. I did the first week I got the game, then stopped. I can't say my hitting's improved, but there's less to worry about at the plate now.

Something else: the CPU tends to pitch strikes more bottom half of the plate. I keep my bat just below center and look for pitches there, and try not to chase anything up high.
