Hitting Tips
Yes, I do require some tips for hitting. For starters, I am slightly confused about what to do before the pitcher throws the ball. Do I aim the analog stick in the direction I want to hit the ball in, or am I guessing at where the pitch is going to be? Secondly, is the analog stick "pressur sensitive?" What I mean by this is if I move the joystick slightly to the left, will my swing be aimed slightly to the left, or does my swing automatically move al the way to the left of the strike zone. The reason I ask is because I['ve experimented a few different ways to go about hitting, and I only move the stick a bit, yet after a pitch it shows my target was in reality way ouside the strike zone. For context, I'm playing on pure baseball mode. So in essense, I suppose my general question is how do you go about hitting?Tags: None -

Guessing where the pitch will be. And of course if it's outside you tend to go opposite field, etc. Go into Controls and put Batter's Eye on, even Feedback if you want. You'll see the relationship of thumbstick = bat movement. There are a few thoughts on batting on another thread just below this one -- check that out as well. -

Are you sure that the pitch guess determines what field you go to? I've always been under the impression that this determines the success of your hit (or something) while the timing of your swing determines the field. That is why if you are late/early even if you guess the pitch location you'll usually end up fouling the ball off (how frustrating!)Originally posted by baa7Guessing where the pitch will be.
