    Unrealistic stats

I'm 20 games in my season with the Mets, actually 21 i have a win i never earned and checked the league leaders today and Alex Rodriguez has 12 homers in 20 games and Richie Sexson 28 rbis. For a stats freak like me it's a big problem. Have you experienced the same?

The extra game credits will sometimes happen when you start up a game, then maybe have to exit for some reason, so you sim through, don't save, load up your save again then play the game... a scenario like that. The game will still hold that simmed game in its memory (the game is very weird that way this year). You have to completely start up the console again, or you risk that happening. The other option is to have two copies of the save, and always reload the original, then save/reload that over top of the season file you're using.

Stats have to do with your settings and sliders. The game is very accurate that way. Sounds like you might have to adjust your sliders, or use a different slider set for simming purposes only.

I’m going to have to back off on that info regarding the settings and sliders affecting sim results. I’m not entirely sure what if any affect they actually have. I do know – and what I was responding to – is that the simmed stats are realistic compared to the number of user innings one plays. Example: when I play 3 inning games, I average X number of strikeouts and walks, etc per game. The simmed games will have very similar results. This is quite a bit different than NFL 2K5 for instance. With that game, the user versus simmed stat results for 3 minute quarters were way off in comparison to each other. The simmed stat results were inflated by up to 2-3 times.

Well the HR's isnt too realistic, but the RBIs isnt that bad.. the leader in the MLB right now has 25rbis..

Maybe your power setting is too high, or maybe A Rod is on a tear right now? Are there other players with 10-12 HRS?

I finished one season with the Tigers and ARod won MVP with big numbers but nothing he hasnt done in the past, something like .307,48,138. I think Thome was the only player to break 50 homers with 57 and ARod won the RBI crown. Only crazy thing to occur was Benetiz broke the record for single season ERA with a 0.83 ERA. Stud closers sometimes pitch a crap load of innings in this game when simming.
