    User Confidence fix

I don’t know if anyone else has been having this problem…? And if I’m doing something wrong and none of this is even necessary, sorry but I haven’t figured out how to get Confidence working for my team otherwise.

Given Confidence can’t be turned off, my complaint has been that it only affects the opponent teams. I started three seasons, and each time my team always had their Confidence ratings reset to default for the next game – all Confidence meters at halfway. On the other hand, the CPU opponent teams all had a variety of Confidence levels at the start of each game – from one-quarter to three-quarters full to everything in between. So their Confidence was carrying over game to game, while my team’s wasn’t.

Anyway, I discovered that by simming rather than playing my first game of the season, my team’s Confidence ratings “kick in” or are “activated” or something. After that, I can play games and my team’s Confidence ratings go up and down according to their performance – which of course wasn’t the problem – but now those ratings carry over to the next game, and that’s what’s been fixed or works now… for some strange reason.

FYI: What I did for that first simmed game – because I don’t like to play a User season with any CPU generated stats – is I inserted an AAA starting P in the rotation and set the # of innings to 1. It took 3 tries, but I got a 1-0 sim result with this guy as the losing P, and no hits by my team. Then I demoted him, and started game 2 with my #1 P, game 3 with my #2 P, etc.

Interesting....do you happen to know if it works this way for player fatigue as well?

I must be clued out... where do you see fatigue? I noticed it as a setting when setting up a season, but where's the fatigue indicator? I don't use hot & cold zones -- is that where it's displayed?

Oh... dummy me. That's P fatigue obviously. No, I haven''t checked that... good thought. That would be fantastic if that's the case. As soon as they finish up with Lego Star Wars, I'll take a look... ;-)

Oh well, I'll save you the trouble - it doesn't. I just checked for myself, and while the first game's starter, Prior was still recovering (his health bar was at about half after game 2), Wood, the game 2 starter had full health right after the game. Same with all the position players.

It does appear that the only way for players to fatigue (pitchers or otherwise) is to sim the games. I wasn't really watching the confidence meters so I can't verify what you said about that. I'll probably try again later after watching the Cubs lose.

Hey, they came back and won.....looks like that reverse mojo thing works!
